FRENCH DJ Fafa who is most famous for his radio work in the 80s, will perform tomorrow night at Level at the Mishal International Hotel, Manama.

The Paris-based DJ Fafa was born in Lyon and raised in Marseille where he presented his Mastermix show that featured mixes of funk, disco, hip hop, and dance music.

He released his first Extended Play record in 1997 and found success when he recorded the track Lucky Star under the name of Superfunk.

Following its successful sales of over one million worldwide, Fafa was sought out to remix tracks for Depeche Mode, Moby, Cerrone, Shirley Bassey and Omar.

Fafa’s live sets usually include deep-techy house, Electro, techno and all time classic tracks.

His career has seen him play at venues including Singapore’s Centro, Ibiza’s Pacha, Beirut’s Basement, Istanbul’s Crystal, Stuttgart M1, Sydney’s Tank, London’s Fabric and Turnmills, Miami’s Nikki Beach, and the Rex Club, Pulp, Mix and Redlight in Paris.

As a prolific artist, Fafa runs his own label, Hypnotic, whose releases are played by international DJs including Laurent Garnier, M.A.N.D.Y, Ewan Pearson and Ivan Smagghe.
