You’ll find Pitbull in the hip-hop section of Best Buy, but musically, the bilingual rapper has one foot in the Latin camp.

“I’m too Latin for hip-hop and too hip-hop for Latin,” said Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez. “At the end of the day, I just love to make music.”

And he loves to collab. The Cuban-American emcee is a protege of Lil Jon, and the rappers rhyme on each other’s albums the way Oprah and Rachael Ray appear on each other’s shows. This year, their danceable single The Anthem, from Pit’s 2007 CD The Boatlift, thrived on Billboard’s Latin, rap, pop and Hot 100 charts.
